About Us

Your Trusted Custom Home Builder in Western North Carolina

As an award-winning custom home builder in Western North Carolina, Scroggs Construction began with a simple foundation: family and hard work. For years, Matt Scroggs served as a local firefighter while taking on remodeling projects in his off hours. His son, Nick, often tagged along, spending days on job sites across Buncombe County before eventually earning his MBA in Chicago and gaining experience in the corporate world.

In 2016, Nick returned home and partnered with his dad to launch Scroggs Construction Services. What began as a small family venture has since grown into a leading design-build firm serving Asheville and the surrounding Western North Carolina communities.

Today, our clients know they can count on us for consistent communication, expert craftsmanship, and a clear, stress-free process from start to finish. Whether we’re remodeling an existing space or building a custom home from the ground up, we approach every project with the same family values that started it all. As a trusted custom home builder in Western North Carolina, Scroggs Construction is also a proud member of the National Association of Home Builders.

Awards

Year after year, our focus on client care and craftsmanship has earned us recognition from the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In 2025, our team earned six honors from the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains, including a Parade of Homes Silver Award and multiple WNC STARS Awards recognizing excellence in remodeling, management, and client service.
