Construction Supervisor
We are looking for a seasoned residential construction supervisor to help with the organization and optimization of daily operations for our production team within our quickly growing construction firm.
The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of operational roles and support tasks while working autonomously within strict deadlines. This person will possess the ability to work with a high degree of attention to detail as well as take direction from their direct supervisor. Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to all construction schedules and budgets
- Collaborate with external and internal contractors and suppliers for various construction activities and assist in development and construction
- Develop and maintain capital and operation budgets and maintain quality
- Implement all procedures according to required policies and procedures to increase efficiency of all projects and maintain integrity of all activities
- Analyze all customer requirements to develop cost effective procedures and design innovation techniques for all construction activities
- Prepare reports for all processes and provide support to construction manager
- Oversee contractor everyday activities and ensure safety in all projects. Evaluate and update schedule for all projects and maintain track for all daily manpower and budgets
- Evaluate and gather all manpower requirements for projects and coordinate with various construction resources for all projects and maintain knowledge on all specialty equipment required for projects
- Develop and assess all project plans and perform risk assessment on all projects to identify and design resolutions for all issues and recommend cost effective methods for same and provide status reports to all project managers
- Supervise all construction projects and ensure adherence to all OSHA regulations and perform research on all budget requirements and administer all change order processes
- Coordinate with various teams and participate in all claim resolutions meetings. Evaluate work plans for all contractors and ensure completion of all tasks with help of all supervisors
- Develop and implement all project control tools and prepare an effective cost reports for all construction projects and provide training to all employees on various processes.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in general construction
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, applied science or related field and/or an equivalent combination of experience and education
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes
- Able to read architectural plans and develop highly accurate cost estimates
- Understanding of proper safety procedures and recognition of hazards
- Working knowledge and experience with project management systems such as Buildertrend and Co-Construct
- High proficiency in computer information systems including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and the Google Suite of applications [Google Drive, Google Docs, Websites, etc…]
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Analytical ability and aptitude in problem-solving
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of office equipment
- Thorough understanding of office management procedures
- This position will require a significant amount of driving so any candidate must possess and maintain a valid NC driver’s license throughout their employment

Lead Carpenter/Journeyman Carpenter
We are looking for motivated Lead Carpenters/Journeyman carpenters to help with a variety of remodeling, addition, and new home construction projects. The Ideal candidate would be someone looking for an journeyman/finish/craftsman carpenter level position in the construction industry with a desire to learn and grow within an expanding organization. Candidates would work directly with a crew of carpenters as well as a project supervisor on each job. Candidates are expected to be able to independently solve difficult construction and remodeling related problems in regard to all carpentry tasks.
General Responsibilities:
(Including but not limited to)
- Gather materials for workers to handle on job sites.
- Keep job sites clean and machines serviced.
- Oversee project crews in carpentry work required for the maintenance, repair, alteration and construction of buildings and structures.
- Assist in the supervision/operation of the all carpentry activities and assigned personnel, as directed.
- Assist in the coordination of carpentry work with that of other trades.
- Assist supervisor in matters deserving attention regarding carpentry work.
- Assist in the preparation of estimates, reports and requisitions.
- Be able to perform ALL duties of carpenter or finish carpenter, following recognized procedures/techniques for such work, as required to build any residential construction building.
- Act as supervisor in his/her absence.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Assist with slabs and elevated structures.
- Establish reference points and lines.
- RESPONSIBILITIES LIST MAY NOT BE TOTALLY INCLUSIVE OF ALL JOB ACTIVITIES.
Requirements
- At least five years in a construction related labor role with at least two of those years in finish carpentry work or in a crew leader position or relevant construction coursework.
- Knowledge of and ability to operate all carpenter tools and equipment.
- Ability to lay out construction, remodeling and alteration work.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform duties and responsibilities of this job, including heavy work with exposure to inclement weather conditions for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift, load, and unload heavy construction materials frequently
- Must be able to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment, as necessary.
- Supervisory ability.
- This position will require a significant amount of driving so any candidate must possess and maintain a valid NC driver’s license throughout their employment

- Preference will be given to those who own ALL of their own carpentry tools. Trailers and trucks are provided to Crew Leaders as well as gas reimbursement. Journeyman and carpenter's helper positions require at least basic hand tools.

Carpenter's Helper/Laborer
We are looking for a motivated carpenter's helper/laborer to help with a variety of remodeling, addition, and new home construction projects. The Ideal candidate would be someone looking for an entry level position in the construction industry with a desire to learn and grow within an expanding organization. Candidates would work directly with a crew leader/boss as well as a project supervisor on each job.
General Responsibilities:
(Including but not limited to)
- Gather materials for workers to handle on job sites.
- Keep job sites clean and machines serviced.
- Cover services with plastic material to protect them.
- Cut and install insulation.
- Cut and fit tile or linoleum.
- Spread adhesives on flooring to prep for tile.
- Build scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
- Cut timber and lumber to specified dimensions.
- Hold timbers, lumber, and paneling in place for fastening or cutting.
- Drill holes in lumber.
- Hold plumb bobs, sighting rods, and other equipment, to aid in establishing reference points and lines.
- Assist in the layout of foundation, building lines and anchor bolts.
- Set hollow metal doors and frames.
- Install toilets.
- Install trim and cabinets.
- Place and set slabs and sidewalks.
- Unload materials from trucks.
- Assist with slabs and elevated structures.
- Frame wood.
- Establish reference points and lines.
- Smooth and sand surfaces using power sanders.

Requirements
